Grade 12 Career Opportunity
The AARAO tour is an opportunity for graduating students to meet with representatives from various post-secondary institutions from all over Atlantic Canada. Schools will have information stations set up and students can circulate to ask questions, and discover what post-secondary training options are available in our region. This year the AARAO tour will be at QERHS on October 29th from 9:00 -11:30. We will be leaving HSH by bus that morning as soon as students arrive to take part in the event. We will be returning for lunch. Please pick up and return the signed consent to the folders at the main office.
School of Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing application will open tomorrow, October 16th at Memorial University! This is an exciting time for high school applicants to apply as we will have more seats available for high school applicants in the upcoming 2026 intake. The Nursing degree is available at six sites across the province: The St. John's campus, the Centre for Nursing Studies, the Western Regional School of Nursing in Corner Brook, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The same Memorial Nursing degree is offered at all of these locations. For the 2026 intake, admission averages for high school applicants are based on courses completed up to grade 11. However, six courses are required to meet the high school pre-requisites (Biology 2201, Biology 3201, Chemistry 3202, Math 3200 or 3201, English 3201 & a grade 12 Social Science or Modern Language course).
